Learn how to manage Storage and upload video files to the Server using this video.
It’s essential to ensure that your video files meet the technical requirements of the platform before you start streaming on YouTube. Check the YouTube Help section for all the necessary parameters.
Next, check the available space on your hard drive. The amount of drive space used is shown under the name of your Server at the top. If there is enough space, proceed to manage the drive’s Storage.
Click on the Storage section on the right-hand side of the sidebar to access it. Here, you can upload and optimize new videos, delete unnecessary files, and create folders to organize your video files and customized playlists.
The Storage section has three internal tabs — Files, Gyre Video Converter, and Playlists — that will help you optimize your video files according to YouTube's requirements and make it easier to work with them.
In the Files tab, users can upload video files and create folders to sort content according to their preferences. All created folders are listed at the top. Below are the files you uploaded directly to the Storage without placing them in a specific folder.
Next to each video file is an additional button that, when clicked, displays a list of available actions. You can edit, remove, check the properties, optimize, and move or download each video file.
The list of all video files in the Storage is displayed in a table containing the name, type, size, and upload date. You can select one or more items in the Storage and move them to the desired folder. To do this, click the Move to… button and select the destination folder for the item. Let's see if the objects have been moved. Go to the folder and see our moved file. While you are in the root of the Storage or a specific folder, you can upload a file by clicking the Upload Video button.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop one or more files into this window, and the upload will start automatically.
