How to start a 24/7 live stream on Instagram?

There are a few nuances to starting a recurring stream on Instagram:

  • Only one live stream can be active at a time. Please note that if you start another live stream while one is active, the previous stream will automatically end, and a new one will start.
  • Instagram supports any quality video. The aspect ratio is 9:16. If you use the 16:9 format, the sides of the video will be cropped, so it's a good idea to prepare your file in advance

Step 1: Create the stream and copy the key on Instagram.

  1. Click the Add button to create a Live video on Instagram (Desktop Version).
  2. Enter the stream details, including the name and access options, then click Next.
  3. Copy the stream URL and key.

Step 2: Create and start the stream on Gyre.

  1. Login to your account and create a new stream.
  2. Select Instagram from the list of platforms.
  3. Fill in the stream details as usual: enter the stream name and group, select the Instagram platform and the video file or playlists you want to use.
  4. Paste the previously copied stream URL and key.
  5. Save the stream.
  6. Once saved, start the stream by clicking the green Start button.

Return to the Instagram live stream settings window and click the Go live button.

The Instagram stream will last for 4 hours and will end automatically. To start a new stream, you must repeat the whole process from the beginning.

A few final words about 24/7 live streams on Instagram:

  • During an active 24/7 live stream, you can still use your Instagram page (watch other users' stories, reply to messages, browse the feed, etc.). The stream will be unavailable, but don't worry; it will continue until you stop it.
  • To view the stream on your Instagram page, access it from another account.
